Rethink MDF

A pile of discarded MDF pallets at the local carpentry workshop led to new research in the aesthetics of the despicable material. MDF is vastly used for infrastructure in the furniture industry but is also considered a "single-use" material, easily thrown away.

Looking at the massive amount of trash this generates, this project tries to find the natural beauty of MDF. The craft and new context raise the leftovers from the trashcan to the gallery wall, hoping to later become a collection of mass-produced furniture.
